Language Proficiency Samples
The samples that I have chosen to showcase my language proficiency skills are all from my interpreting classes. My skills were shown clearly throughout these videos. These classes were all very beneficial for me because I was able to learn many strategies for interpreting and also gain a lot of experience with new topics. Having this repetition along with feedback is very important.

Literature and Humanities Samples
STS 1010 Survey of Science and Technology in Society
This paper was written during my STS 1010 class. While this was not an ASL class, we were required to pick a topic find articles related to our topic. My topic was 'Technological Issues in ASL and Interpreters'. I discussed issues that Deaf people face when dealing with technology. I also discussed issues pertaining to virtual interpreters. I chose to write about this because I am planning on becoming an interpreter and it is important to be aware of new issues that arise.
ASL 4500 Deaf Literature and Film
These are papers that I wrote from my ASL 4500 class. This class covered may aspect of Deaf literature and Film. Deaf literature and film are important in the Deaf community and culture. It is a way for them to not only share information but also share experiences. In this paper, In the first paper I discussed how I will relate this to my future profession. When interpreting, it is important to have an understanding of the material. In the second paper I discussed film and the importance of film in the deaf community
